Professor of Linguistics and former Director of the Doctoral Program, University of Manouba, Tunisia. Visiting Professor at King Saud University (2000-2006). Author of Lesson Discourse Analysis (1992), Edwin Mellen Press; Co-author of The Teaching of Foreign Languages in the Arab World (2008), ALECSO Press. Published papers in International Review of Applied Linguistics, Journal of Literary Semantics, Cahiers de Linguisitique d' Ottawa, Langues et Litteratures (University of Algiers), and Lettres de Kairouan (University of Kairouan). Supervised more than 20 MA theses. Supervised Doctoral Theses at the Universities of Manouba (Tunis, Tunisia), King Saud (KSA), Strathclyde  (Scotland).  Supervising Doctoral Theses at The University of Manouba and  Universite Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). Visiting Professor of Linguistics and Translation Studies, King Khalid University, since 2015.
